The welcome reception dinner will be a light dinner at the Marina Bay Sands Simpor Ballroom. Registration will commence at 6.00p.m. Singapore local time.
During the reception, players will register for the main event and receive their lanyard labels and players handbook. Players will also make a draw for their World Team Tournament groupings and be grouped into teams of five (5). A total of eight (8) Teams will be formed for the team tournament. The eight teams are namely, Singapore Team, All-Star Team, Japan Team A, Japan Team B, Europe Team A, Europe Team B, Asia Team A, Asia Team B. Player will also submit their order of play at the same night. The Othello Speedwave heats will also be played during the welcome reception.
At the end of the dinner, keeping with the tradition, the first round Swiss pairings will be drawn for the main event. The event is expected to end by 9.30p.m.

感觉本届赛事棋手质量比上一届低了好多，像末国，为则，冈本，以及其他国家的诸如Ben,Matthias Berg, Piyanat, Nichy, Borassi, David Hand 等世界杯诸强都未参赛，难道是新加坡主场占去了许多名额？
